So I know it’s super cliché that people make lists at the end of each year… but I don’t think you understand why my 2011 was overly superior…. like it was really f’ing goood… and these are 45 reasons why!

(They are kinda in order from Jan to Dec, but not really)

1. I graduated high school
2. I went to a new high school, just for grade 12, where I met a bunch of new, really rad people.
3. I still got to hang out with all my friends from my old school, and go to their school events.
4. I went to Australia
5. I went inside the Sydney Opera House
6. I crossed the Sydney Harbour bridge
7. I travelled up pretty much the entire East Coast of Australia with my parents
8. I hand fed Kangaroos and petted Koalas
9. I rented a condo for a bunch of months by myself, in like the nicest building in the city
10. I learned how to surf
11. I celebrated my 18th birthday in Australia, where I went legally to clubs for the first time
12. On my 18th birthday on 2 hours of sleep I then flew to New Zealand to see one of my best buds and be with him for a month
13. I got to see pretty much the wholse North Island of New Zealand
14. I went sledding down sand dunes
15. I went ‘louging’ down these tracks down these hills (had to be there to know how fun it was)
16. I got to go shopping and ride the trams in Melbourne
17. I was able to start shooting heaps of concerts in Australia
18. I met Rihanna
19. I had photos published in magazines throughout Australia, the US, Canada, and even Indonesia 
20. I met Chris Brown
21. I realized I wanted to spend the rest of my life in the music industry
22. I got a job working on a club crawl
23. I got to shoot The Script, where he bent down and sang to my camera

24. I got VIP treatment to a bunch of massive music festivals
25. I met Taio Cruz
26. I wing-manned my best friend and got her to hook up with Bow Wow
27. I set up and started running my own online music publication
28. I got accepted to University
29. I arrived back home in Kelowna and spent 2 months of my summer there

30. I got to work and shoot Center of Gravity all weekend
31. I got invited to a private Playboy party
32. I started university at the University of Manitoba

33. I moved into my brand new state of the art dorm
34. I filled up my main big wall all with photos I have taken
35. I started shooting concerts here about 3 times a week
36. I got to be backstage and met all the guys from Underoath - my like dream in grade 7
37. I got published photos in 3 national magazines, in 3 different countries throughout the world in one month
38. I SHOOK HANDS JUSTIN BIEBER 

39. I expanded my overall music network greatly throughout the year
40. I started my residency at the nicest and newest nightclub in the city

41. I got to shoot concerts such as Selena Gomez, LMFAO, Snoop Dogg, Kings of Leon, Pearl Jam, Chris Brown, ect
42. I got to shoot festivals such as Supafest, Surfers Paradise Festival, Creamfields, Center of Gravity, ect
43. I started to learn how to play another instrument (synthesizer)

44. I met Red Foo from LMFAO
45. I got to go home and spend Christmas with my family!
